So this is the first sentence of my first post. Monumental, huh? I’ve been meaning to start a blog for some time now, for a couple of reasons. First, I don’t have enough to do already, so I really need something else to distract me from the day to day work and my “serious writing.” Second, I’m just so anxious to share my thoughts with the rest of the world that I will do almost anything to get them out there. Sarcasm aside, I’m actually looking forward to doing a bit more unstructured writing. It’s like exercise for the brain, and I don’t even have to drip sweat all over the keyboard. Plus, it will be nice to have a record of my late twenties before I grow too old to remember them.
So, what happened today? Well, it’s 12:17AM right now, and I’m used to going to sleep around 10PM. Having a new baby is an adventure, I tell you, and he’s already 4 months old. Aren’t they supposed to be sleeping through the night by now!? I also sent off a journal article today that I marathoned together in a record six days.
